International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Coalition of Organized Retail Employees (IAM CORE) reaches tentative agreement with tech giants apple Friday on work-life balance, pay raises and improvements in job security.
Workers at Apple’s Towson, Maryland, Apple retail store will vote on the tentative agreement on August 6.
The tentative three-year agreement includes a 10% average pay increase, limits and severance provisions for contract workers, improved work-life balance and transparency rules. The deal will retain all current benefits and negotiate for any future additions.
Workers at Apple’s Towson store voted in May to authorize a strike.
In June 2022, Apple employees in Maryland voted to join the International Union of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, becoming the tech giant’s first unionized retail employees in the United States.
Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
