More than 200 digital content creators will participate in this week’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago “Creator Certificate” This will give these influential people a special opportunity to attend the party congress.

The decision to formally appoint a dedicated team of creators is a first for the Democratic nominating convention.
It’s also a window into the priorities of the innovative media strategy that Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign is executing in its first month.

Houston is a lawyer and comedian with more than 500,000 followers across various platforms. She produces videos that detail the latest news in law and politics, providing viewers with complex topics in a relevant and easy-to-understand way.
Creators are not compensated for attending conventions or producing content on site. Like journalists, content creators will be responsible for their own transportation and housing expenses.
To offset these costs, some creators are seeking sponsorship from advertisers. Houston said she will produce sponsored content for the Congressional Black Caucus PAC, a political action committee funded by members of Congress who are members of the caucus.
DNCC is also working with creators who are unable to attend the conference in person, allowing them remote access to participate.
In addition to a spot on the Creator Platform, eligible creators will have an exclusive lounge in the United Center where they can work on content, record podcast interviews, and connect with other creators.
The Republican National Convention also hosted content creators at its events this year, with more than 70 influencers attending the convention in Milwaukee in mid-July.

Biden’s White House has also hired influencers to help share its achievements on social media. Last week, Biden hosted 100 digital content creators at the White House and participated in the first Creator Economy Conference.
