Former President Donald Trump has included his one-time campaign rival Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard on his presidential transition team, a spokesman confirmed Tuesday.
Kennedy and Gabbard Support Trump He spent the past week in the race against Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.
“As President Trump’s broad coalition of supporters and endorsers expands across party lines, we are grateful to have Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard join us,” senior Trump campaign adviser Brian Hughes said in a statement. The Trump/Vance transition team is proud.
“We look to them to be a strong voice on the team as we work to restore America’s glory,” Hughes said.
If Trump defeats Harris in the Nov. 5 presidential election, the transition team will make staffing and policy decisions. new york times First reported that the Republican candidate planned to name Kennedy and Gabbard to the team.
Kennedy was suspended Friday for his independent presidential campaign. Gabbard, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 2020 cycle before leaving the party in 2022, has reportedly been helping Trump prepare for the campaign. Debate against Harris.
