LONDON — Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, the frontmen of British band Oasis, confirmed on Tuesday that they would put aside their 15-year feud and reunite next year for a series of shows expected to generate feverish demand.

Oasis have announced shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin from 4 July to 17 August 2025, which they say will be their only European dates next year. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

“OASIS LIVE ’25 plans to travel to other continents outside of Europe later next year,” the band said in a statement.

Oasis disbanded on August 28, 2009. Since then, the Gallagher brothers have embarked on solo projects and performed Oasis’ hits separately. The news comes ahead of the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe, which at the time was the fastest-selling debut album in UK history and included tracks like “Live Forever” and “Supersonic”.

The Manchester band’s best-known songs include “Wonderwall”, “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Champagne Supernova”. The band was at the heart of the 1990s Britpop movement (the cultural wave supporting British rock music) and competed with the London band Blur.

In 1996, when Oasis played two nights in Knebworth, Hertfordshire, England, 2.5 million people applied for tickets. according to British Broadcasting Corporation. The group currently has 21.6 million monthly listeners, according to music streaming platform Spotify.

Tickets for the latest performances will be on sale through websites such as Ticketmaster. In recent years, the site has been criticized for experiencing site glitches during sales for popular artists such as Taylor Swift. CNBC has reached out to Ticketmaster for comment.

Live music fans have also complained about skyrocketing ticket prices on resale sites, with tickets for top-selling acts such as beyonce.

Ticketmaster said resales can only be made for the face value of the ticket plus the booking fee and only through its website or official resale partners, and that unauthorized resales may invalidate tickets.
