Four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry has begun planning for retirement.

The 10-time NBA All-Star spoke with CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” on Tuesday about the remainder of his basketball career, his various business ventures and his post-career goals.

Curry, 36, owns a media company. consistent mediaand junior golf tours, underratedand other companies. He told CNBC that one day he would also be interested in ownership of an NBA team.

“To me, it’s definitely on the table,” Curry said. “I think I can do a great job and help maintain the greatness that the NBA currently is and everything that goes into running a championship organization.”

The star shooter just signed a one-year, $62.6 million contract extension that will keep him with the Golden State Warriors until 2027. The guard who led the U.S. men’s basketball team to an Olympic gold medal said in Paris last month that he still has a lot of NBA basketball ahead of him.

“I know I have a lot to do on the court before I can take on another role in the league,” he said.

Curry said seeing former NBA great Michael Jordan own the Charlotte Hornets in the past and the possibility of the league expanding within a few years piqued his interest in ownership.
