Vice President Kamala Harris raised $47 million in the first 24 hours after her debate with former President Donald Trump on Tuesday night, a Harris campaign spokesperson told CNBC.

The huge number represents another boost to Harris’ fundraising drive, which has been in full swing since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed her bid for president.

The campaign said the $47 million came from nearly 600,000 individual donors who gave to one of several campaign committees and political action committees supporting Harris-Waltz’s candidacy.

Harris was widely considered the winner of the debate, which was held in Philadelphia and hosted by ABC News. Democratic and Republican strategists and elected officials agree that Trump allowed himself to be uncomfortable with Harris’ confrontational style and the few instances in which the ABC News host conducted instant fact-checks on him.

The latest Harris fundraising numbers mark the latest blow to the Trump campaign, which has been lagging behind Harris in the fundraising game.

Harris Political Action recently announced it raised $361 million in August, more than double the $130 million the Trump team raised last month.

News that Harris earned $47 million a day was first reported by New York Times.
