Asia-Pacific markets opened mixed on Wednesday after Wall Street’s main benchmarks rose. Nasdaq Index The closing price hit a new high as technology stocks rose.
Asian traders will assess Australian consumer price data, with inflation expected to fall to 2.9% in the quarter to September from 3.8% in the previous quarter.
Japanese Nikkei 225 Index It opened up 0.74% and the Topix rose 0.55%.
South Korea’s Kospi fell 0.57% and the small-cap Kosdaq fell 0.06%.
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 index fell 0.3%.
Hong Kong Futures Hang Seng Index The index closed at 20,746 points, while the last closing price of the index was 20,701.14 points.
In the United States, the technology-heavy Nasdaq index rose 0.78% to close at a record high of 18,712.75 points.
this S&P 500 Index rose 0.16% to close at 5,832.92 points, while Dow Jones Industrial Average It fell 154.52 points, or 0.36%, to close at 42,233.05 points.
