The first result comes from a small town in New Hampshire – Harris ties with Trump

Harris and Trump were tied in a midnight contest in Dixville Notch.

Three of the voters supported Harris, and three voters supported Trump. Voting opens at midnight and ends at 12:07 PM ET

Since 1960, Dixville Pass voters have followed a tradition of hand-delivering their ballots in wooden boxes after midnight, minutes before the results are known.

While the outcome of the Dixville Gap is not a predictor, the tradition has kicked off Election Day events for decades of night owls.

This year, Harris’s tie with Trump mirrors the close race that polls have shown over the past few months. In 2020, President Biden received all five votes in Dixville Pass before winning the overall race.

According to statistics, more than 77 million Americans have already voted by mail or in person NBC News Statistics early voting.

What all this means for the final outcome is unclear.

While early voting data is often seen as a signal of some voter enthusiasm or expected turnout, it’s difficult to predict how many more voters will show up on Tuesday. It’s also difficult to know in advance whether a party’s early vote share will “cannibalize” its election day turnout.

After Monday’s attack on Pennsylvania, Harris’ Election Day schedule is relatively sparse — at least for now.

The only item on her agenda is an election vigil party at her alma mater, Howard University in Washington, D.C.

The event will be held at “yard,” the main quadrangle of the campus.

Walz and his wife, Gwen Walz, will also attend a political event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, NBC News reported.
