A ransomware attack on one of StarbucksThe software provider is disrupting the way baristas at the coffee chain view and manage their schedules, the company said Monday.
Starbucks said it is working closely with its suppliers to resolve the issue. The company did not name the third party.
The outage affected Starbucks’ employee platform, which shows baristas their schedules and allows the company to track employee hours. Store leaders and baristas are currently working to resolve the outage manually, and the company said it will ensure employees are paid for all working hours despite the outage.
The disruption did not directly affect customers, and Starbucks said it will continue to serve customers in its cafes.
