Pennsylvania police are questioning a man in connection with the shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, NBC News reports.
According to NBC, the gun the man was carrying was similar to the gun used when a masked gunman killed 50-year-old Thompson in New York City last Wednesday.
New York police were en route to Altoona, Pennsylvania, where the man was being questioned.
On the same day the case progressed, Thompson’s funeral was scheduled to be held in Minnesota.
It was unclear whether the man being questioned in Altoona was the same person seen in surveillance footage previously released by the New York Police Department of people of interest in the murders.
Thompson Corporation is UnitedHealth Groupthe largest private payer of health insurance benefits in the United States.
