OpenAI said Wednesday it was working to resolve outages after its popular ChatGPT assistant and Sora video generator became inaccessible.
OpenAI said in the post: “We have discovered this issue and are working hard to roll out a fix. X.

ChatGPT has been down for more than two hours. One outage in June lasted more than five hours.
OpenAI was valued at $157 billion in an October funding round that also included participation from existing backers Microsoft and chip manufacturers NVIDIA. The company’s meteoric rise began with the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022 and became the biggest news in the tech industry over the past few years.
On Monday OpenAI said it would release Sora to people in the United States and most other countries, but on Tuesday, Altman wrote on X “We greatly underestimated the need for sora; it will take a while before everyone can access it.”
