British luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce Motor Cars on Wednesday explain The company is investing more than 300 million pounds ($369.9 million) to expand its global headquarters, citing growing demand for highly personalized models from its ultra-wealthy clients.

Like other luxury car brands, BMW’s Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has seen increased demand for customized and complex models in recent months.

Some of the personal touches include orders for 18-carat solid gold sculptures, intricate embroidery with over 869,500 stitches and holographic paint finishes.

The company said an investment of more than £300 million at its Goodwood manufacturing facility in southern England will help create space for customization and bodybuilding projects. the latter refers to Participate in an invitation-only program in which the company’s customers can create “completely original cars.”

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said the investment could be seen as a boost to Britain’s ruling Labor Party and is the company’s biggest single capital injection since the Goodwood plant opened 22 years ago.

“Rolls-Royce is a global business,” Chris Brownridge, chief executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, told CNBC’s “Squawk Box Europe” on Wednesday.

“We have clients in all corners of the world and we need to meet the growth in client demand for more complex commissions. The investment in Goodwood therefore demonstrates not only the health of the organization but how we are investing in our growth plans Confident,” Brownridge said.

He added: “What we don’t want to do is make more Rolls-Royces, but what we are trying to do – and what we will do – is make more special commissions and better cars.”

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said it sold 5,712 cars last year, down 5% from global sales of 6,032 cars in 2023.

North America is the company’s largest sales region in 2024, measured by the number of vehicles delivered to customers.

Taking all regions into account, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said the most popular models last year were the Cullinan, Specter and Ghost.
