Detroit- Ford Motor Company On Thursday, Ford unveiled a $325,000 special edition of the Mustang GTD called “Spirit of America,” a nod to the historic jet car of the same name.
The white vehicle has a red and blue stripe down the center, matching the overalls worn by Spirit of America driver Craig Breedlove when he broke the 500 mph and 600 mph barriers in the 1960s match.
Ford showed off the car at the Detroit Auto Show but declined to reveal pricing for the special edition car, which is based on the automaker’s current GTD.
