A confirmation hearing scheduled for today for Trump’s nominee for homeland security secretary, South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem, was abruptly postponed late Tuesday afternoon.
As a former member of the House of Representatives, Noem’s confirmation process is expected to be the most contentious of the current slate.
The reasons for the delay have been given, but “The Hill” reports Noem’s situation was “due to delays in the FBI background check.”
