Attorney General Merrick Garland and other Justice Department officials briefed reporters on Thursday on their decision to file an antitrust lawsuit against the Justice Department. apple.

The U.S. Department of Justice and 16 attorneys general filed a long-anticipated lawsuit on Thursday, alleging that Apple’s iPhone ecosystem is monopolistic and that its anticompetitive conduct extends to the company’s Apple Watch, advertising, browser, FaceTime and news products .

Also present at Thursday’s news conference were Garland, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, Acting Deputy Attorney General Benjamin Mizer, Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Kanter of the Antitrust Division and New Jersey Attorney General Ma Hugh Platkin.

The lawsuit is the Justice Department’s third case against Apple. The company has previously sued the tech giant over e-book prices and alleged collusion to drive down wages.
