Singapore Changi Airport has been overtaken as the world’s best airport by Doha’s Hamad International Airport, according to air transport rating company Skytrux.

This is the third time Hamad International Airport has won the title, after winning it in 2021 and 2022.

Travelers from more than 100 countries participated in the Skytrax survey, which also named Hamad International Airport the best airport in the world for shopping.

Changi Airport has been named the world’s best airport by Skytrax 12 times, including first place from 2013 to 2020 and again in 2023.

In this year’s survey, Singapore Airport won the titles of “Asia’s Best Airport” and “World’s Best Airport Immigration Services”.

South Korea’s Incheon International Airport moved up from fourth place in 2023 to third place and was named the world’s most family-friendly airport of the year.

Tokyo Haneda Airport ranked fourth and was also named “the cleanest airport in the world.” The airport will handle 70 million passengers in 2023, the most on the Skytrax list, according to the company.

Narita International Airport, another major international airport in Tokyo, ranked fifth on the list. It was recognized for its customer service, winning the title of “World’s Best Airport Staff.”

The ranking is based on a questionnaire sent to airport customers between August 2023 and March 2024.
