Official data showed on Friday that the British economy had emerged from recession, with gross domestic product growing 0.6% in the first quarter, beating expectations.
Economists had expected a month-on-month growth of 0.4%.
The UK entered a shallow recession in the second half of 2023 as persistent inflation weighed on the economy.
