Comcast to launch bundles with Peacock, Netflix and Apple TV later this month

Comcast It said on Tuesday it would launch a streaming bundle for its cable, broadband and mobile customers that would bundle Peacock. Netflix and Apple TV+ at a discounted price.

The announcement, made Tuesday at the MoffettNathanson Media Conference in New York, comes as major media companies increasingly join forces to drive user value and subscriptions to streaming services.

Comcast’s offer follows a similar pattern several bundles from Verizon: Its streaming bundles will be available to existing Comcast subscribers, which could help shore up its pay-TV subscribers.

Comcast reported in its April 25 earnings report that it lost 487,000 cable customers in the first quarter.

Comcast did not reveal the price of the upcoming bundle. Peacock subscription plans start at $5.99 per month and will increase to $7.99 per month this summer. Comcast Broadband customers typically receive discounts on the company’s streaming service.

Netflix plans start at $6.99 per month, and Apple TV+ starts at $9.99 per month.

“We’ve been bundling video successfully and creatively for 60 years,” Comcast CEO Brian Roberts said Tuesday. “So this is the latest version. I think it’s going to be a very compelling one. package plan.”
