Vismay Sharma is President of L’Oréal South Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa (SAPMENA). He has worked for the same company for more than 30 years and still loves his job.
How does he stay motivated? Sharma says finding your purpose is key.
“I love working in the beauty industry. This industry brings joy, confidence and happiness to people’s lives every day,” he told CNBC’s “My Biggest Lesson.”
Sharma added that while turnover, profitability and market share are important considerations for any organization, the “real long-term motivator” for him is seeing the value in day-to-day work.
One of the most rewarding aspects of his job is the potential to have a positive impact on the community and environment, such as creating jobs and reducing water use in salons in water-stressed areas.
