Billionaire hedge fund executive Bill Ackman has told colleagues he may support Donald Trump for president instead of Joe Biden, according to people familiar with the matter.

Ackerman had previously funded Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign, which led to Republican Nikki Haley’s failed bid to win the White House. Ackerman has a Net worth just over $4 billionAccording to Forbes.

Another source said Ackman has not yet made a final decision on whether to support Trump.

If Ackman endorses Trump, he would join a growing number of Wall Street executives who support Trump over Biden. Blackstone Group CEO Steve Schwarzman recently said in a statement that he would support Trump.

Schwarzman’s announcement comes after the billionaire said in 2022 that he would seek a replacement for the former president to support during the Republican presidential primaries.

Ackman has been vocal about his dislike of Biden and his policies.

In a January interview with CNBC, Ackman called on the 81-year-old Biden to resign as president due to his age. Asked if he would vote for Trump over Biden, Ackerman said: “When I have the choice, I will make that decision.”

Ackman’s biggest bet so far this election cycle didn’t pan out.

In January, he donated $1 million to a political action committee that supported Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minnesota, in his bid to face Biden in the Democratic primary, according to Federal Election Commission records.

Phillips dropped out of the race in March.
