The Trump campaign said Friday that its single-day fundraising record has nearly doubled after a New York jury found Donald Trump guilty in his hush-money criminal trial.

The campaign said Trump has raised $34.8 million from small donors following Thursday afternoon’s historic verdict in which he was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records.

Veteran campaign advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said in a press release that nearly 30% of those donors were new to Trump’s donation site, WinRed.

Top aides echoed Trump’s post-trial vow that the “real verdict” would be delivered on Election Day, Nov. 5.

Trump is almost certain to enter the race as the first former U.S. president to be convicted of a crime and the nominee of a major political party.

The Trump campaign told NBC News that its latest fundraising figures only include donations sent between Thursday’s sentencing and midnight, excluding any contributions after 12 a.m. ET on Friday.
