A woman who says she was a victim of sexual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein filed a lawsuit against the company on Monday. famous psychiatristentrepreneurs and commodity traders Henry Jareckialleges Jarecki raped and sex-trafficked her after Epstein sent her for psychiatric treatment.
The federal civil lawsuit filed by the unidentified woman in Manhattan federal court alleges that Jarecki, 91, was a “close friend” of late fund manager Epstein, who committed suicide in a New York prison in 2019.
The lawsuit alleges that Epstein allegedly sent other young women to psychiatrists for secret “treatment” to avoid drawing unnecessary attention to Epstein’s sexual abuse of the young women.

Their lawsuit comes a year after the same lawyers secured a $290 million settlement from the banking giant JPMorgan Representing Epstein victims alleges the bank benefited from and facilitated Epstein’s sex trafficking operations.
Jarecki’s attorney, Sarita Kedia, said in a statement to CNBC that “these accusations will be proven to be completely false and baseless.”

Jarecki, an adjunct professor at Yale School of Medicine, was awarded the Pardes Mental Health Humanitarian Award last November by the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation. He is co-author of the textbook Modern Psychiatry.
In the 1980s, Jarecki was called the “Dean of the U.S. gold market” by the New York Times when he served as chairman of Mocatta Metals Corp.
