Afghanistan reached the World Cup semi-finals for the first time with a dramatic eight-match win over Bangladesh, while Australia were also knocked out of the T20 tournament.
Bangladesh had a chance to advance, or take Australia through with a win, but as rain affected their innings, they were chasing Duckworth-Lewis-Stern’s revised 114 in 19 overs target and were eventually bowled out for 105 runs.
Captain Rashid Khan (4-23) and Naveen-ul-Haq (4-26) took four wickets each in the win against South Africa in Trinidad on Wednesday night goal, ensuring Afghanistan reached the World Cup semi-finals for the first time in history.

India beat Australia by 24 runs Earlier on Monday, qualification hopes for the 2021 championship hung in the balance in St Lucia, where they will face defending champions England in the second semi-final.
