China’s Ministry of Commerce said on Sunday it strongly opposed the U.S. decision to include a number of Chinese entities on its export control list over Russia-related issues.

On Friday, the United States placed 105 Russian and Chinese companies on a trade restrictions list for allegedly supporting the Russian military.

The companies (42 Chinese, 63 Russian and 18 other countries) were targeted for reasons including sending U.S. electronics to Russian military parties and producing thousands of Shahed-136 drones for Russian use for the invasion of Ukraine.

U.S. suppliers must obtain hard-to-obtain licenses to ship to companies on the so-called “entity list.”

China’s Ministry of Commerce stated that the US actions disrupted international trade order and hindered normal economic exchanges.
