Fast-rising comedian Emmanuel Sonubi returns home to the London borough of Enfield for the final leg of his comedy tour, introducing CNBC Travel to some of his favorite shows while in town Like a place to relax.
Just a few years ago, London comedian Emmanuel Sonubi hosted an open mic night at a pub in his hometown of Enfield.
Now, after his latest tour, Sonuby is headlining local theaters. Before the show, he invited CNBC Travel to visit his favorite hometown.
“Enfield is not your typical tourist destination. But if you want the flavor of a quintessential British town, full of locals and a sense of humour, this is the place,” Sonoby shared on the latest episode of London Free .
While many neighborhoods in London face rapid gentrification, Sonoby appreciates the stability his hometown has maintained over the years.
“Enfield, the good place hasn’t changed. That’s how I would describe it,” he said.
