Luxury hotel chains want to offer the vacation of a lifetime.
Ramada by Wyndham has launched a contest to find people willing to travel the world, visit hotel locations and document their travels on social media.
The position, dubbed “Chief Food Officer,” will be responsible for “exploring the most delicious local cuisine and experiences” in cities around the world where Ramada hotels are located.
The CEO will capture content and write blog posts, which the brand will display on its social channels.
The round-the-world itinerary will be planned in coordination with Ramada Hotels and will include accommodations on five continents. Possible stops include Seoul, South Korea; Belfast, Ireland; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Ramada is looking for applicants with strong writing skills, foodies, and a love of travel. Being active on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok is an advantage.
In addition to up to 21 nights at Wyndham, selected applicants will receive a $10,000 stipend to cover their travel expenses and $5,000 in cash.
Eligible candidates must be legal residents of the United States or Canada, possess a valid passport, and be able to travel for three consecutive weeks between April 1 and June 30 of next year.
Aspiring CEOs have until October 22 to post a video on TikTok showcasing their passion for food and travel and explain why they deserve the job.
Submitted films will be evaluated by three judges, who will score the applicants based on their passion for food and travel, their ability to communicate why they want the role, and the overall quality of the film.
The two top-scoring applicants will then conduct a live video interview to determine the winner.
