apple announced New iPad Mini On Tuesday, it was the first update to the smallest tablet since 2021.

The new iPad mini is powered by a faster A17 Pro processor, the same chip used in last year’s iPhone 15 Pro. That means it supports Apple Intelligence, the company’s new suite of artificial intelligence capabilities that will slowly roll out to users starting this month.

In the company’s third fiscal quarter, Apple launched multiple new iPad models for the first time since 2022, and its iPad business achieved its strongest growth, with annual growth of approximately 24%.

Apple’s smallest iPad has attracted a group of users who prefer its more portable 8.3-inch screen for reading or taking notes. iPad Mini supports the latest Apple Pencil Pro, which was launched alongside the iPad Pro earlier this year.

It starts at $499, is available for pre-order now, and will be available in stores on October 23rd.
