Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg plans to visit South Korea and arrange important meetings during his visit, according to Meta’s statement on Wednesday, which gave no further details. Zuckerberg is expected to meet Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong later this month to discuss the supply of artificial intelligence chips and other issues that generate artificial intelligence, South Korean newspaper Seoul Economic Daily reported, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

Yuan Ban on new political ads on Facebook and Instagram extended after US Election Day
Social media giant announces political advertising policy renew On Monday, a ban on new political ads was extended until Tuesday, the original end of the restriction period.
Meta did not specify a specific date when restrictions would be lifted, saying only that the ad blocking would continue “until later this week.” The company did not say why it extended the restrictions on political advertising.
The company announced in August that any political ad that ran at least once before Oct. 29 could still run on Meta’s service in the final week before Election Day. No other political ads will be allowed.
Meta said organizations with qualifying ads will have “limited editorial capabilities” while restrictions remain in place. These advertisers will be allowed to make scheduling, budget and bidding-related changes to their political ads, Mehta said.
Meta instituted the same policy in 2020.
Google-Parents letter It announced a similar ad policy update last month, saying it would suspend U.S. election-related ads after the last polls close on Tuesday. Alphabet said it will notify advertisers when the suspension is lifted.
Nearly $1 billion was spent on political ads last week, with most of the money spent on next-ballot races across the country, according to ad analytics firm AdImpact.
