Jay-Z, the celebrity rapper and entrepreneur whose real name is Shawn Carter, was accused in a lawsuit Sunday of having an affair with Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2000. Diddy” Combs raped a 13-year-old girl.
The anonymous accuser, identified only as “Jane Doe,” said the attack occurred after she was driven to an after-party at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The federal lawsuit is Originally submitted in October Coombs is named as a defendant in the Southern District of New York. Carter was included in Sunday’s refiling.
Tony Buzbee, the Texas attorney who filed the lawsuit, had no comment.
Carter called the accusations “silly” in a lengthy statement Sunday night and claimed Buzby engaged in unprofessional conduct.
“The nature of these charges is so outrageous that I implore you to file criminal charges, not civil ones! Anyone who commits this type of crime against a minor should be locked up, don’t you agree?” Carter told NBC News said the statement. “If true, these alleged victims will receive true justice.”
A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York declined to comment on whether the office was pursuing the case after seeing an NBC News report on the lawsuit.
Buzby has Multiple lawsuits filed in recent months — all of whom are withholding the names of the complainants — accuse Combs of assault and rape. It’s the first lawsuit in which he names another high-profile defendant.
In a statement, Combs’ legal representatives called the lawsuits “a shameless publicity stunt designed to collect payments from celebrities who fear their lies will be spread, just as lies about Mr. Combs are being spread.”
“As his legal team has stated previously, Mr. Combs is confident in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone — a man or women, adults or minor,” the statement read.
Federal prosecutors in New York filed criminal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and other crimes against Combs in September, and he is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail for a third time last month. his The trial is scheduled for May 5.
Prosecutors said at a court hearing last month that they may file additional charges against Combs in a superseding indictment.
Before refiling the lawsuit on Sunday, “Carter received a letter from plaintiffs’ attorneys requesting mediation to resolve the matter,” Buzbee wrote in the lawsuit. In response to the letter seen by NBC News, Carter filed the lawsuit against the plaintiffs’ attorneys, Buzbee wrote in the lawsuit.
“You made a terrible error in judgment by assuming that all ‘celebrities’ are the same,” Carter added in Sunday’s statement. “I’m not from your world. I’m a kid from the Brooklyn Project.” of young people. We don’t play this type of game. We have very strict codes and honors for children.”

The lawsuit says a friend dropped her off at the VMAs at Radio City Music Hall. She didn’t have tickets, so she contacted various limousine drivers to try to get a chance to see the show or the after-party.
One driver told her he worked for Combs and that she “fit what Diddy was looking for,” the lawsuit says. He invited her to a party after the show and told her to get back to his car later in the evening after he dropped off Carter and Combs, the lawsuit states.
The driver picked her up and 20 minutes later, they arrived at the White House, a building with a U-shaped driveway, the suit said. She had to sign what she thought was a nondisclosure agreement upon arrival — but was not given a copy — to attend the party, which the lawsuit says was packed with celebrities and people smoking marijuana and cocaine.
She was given a drink that made her feel “woozy and like she needed to lie down,” and she went into the room to rest, the lawsuit says.
Soon after, Combs and Carter entered the room, and Combs said, “You’re ready to party,” the lawsuit states.
That’s when, she claims, Carter took off her clothes, pushed her to the ground and raped her while Combs and an unnamed female celebrity looked on. She said Combs also raped her while Carter and the woman looked on.
She was able to resist being forced to perform oral sex on Combs by hitting him on the neck, but he “stopped,” the lawsuit states.
After the alleged attack, she “grabbed her clothes” and left, the lawsuit states. She allegedly went to a gas station and called her father.
The plaintiffs are seeking unspecified damages. The lawsuit was filed under New York’s Gender Motivated Violence Victims Protection Act.
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” Carter said in the statement. “My wife and I will have to sit down our children, one of whom has arrived and her friends will surely see the media and Asking questions about the nature of these claims and explaining the age of cruelty and greed in people I still mourn yet another loss of innocence.
Carter added: “Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, would believe the stupid claims you make about me, which would be laughable if not for the severity of the harm to children.”
