Bank of America, the second-largest U.S. bank, and investment bank Goldman Sachs plan to donate to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural committee, but the amount has not yet been decided, spokespeople for the banks said on Friday.
Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase were the two largest bank donors to Trump’s 2017 inauguration. A JPMorgan representative declined to comment.
The inaugural committee is responsible for planning and financing various events, including opening ceremonies and parades, galas and balls, but is not responsible for the swearing-in ceremony itself, according to the Federal Election Commission.
Bank of America donated $1 million to Trump’s first inaugural fund and President Joe Biden’s 2021 inaugural fund.
