Sales of foreign mobile phone brands in China fell sharply in November, official data showed on Friday, underscoring further pressure on mobile phone brands. applethe country’s largest international mobile phone provider.
According to CNBC calculations based on data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), foreign mobile phone shipments in China were 3.04 million units in November.
This is a decrease of 47.4% compared to November 2023 and a decrease of 51% compared to October last year.
The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology does not break out data by brand, but Apple accounts for the majority of foreign phone shipments in China, while rivals such as Samsung account for only a small portion of the market.
