Asia-Pacific markets rebounded after a sell-off in the previous session as investors digested comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

Powell said it would take policymakers some time to assess current inflation conditions, leaving the timing of potential rate cuts uncertain.

In Asia, investors will assess India’s services sector activity data for March as well as Hong Kong’s retail sales data.

Markets in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan were closed for public holidays.
