Trump Media The company’s shares fell more than 10% in early trading on Monday, giving it a market value of just under $5 billion.
Shares of DJT fell 12% on Friday before the stock plunged.
Trump Media, which owns the Truth Social app used by its largest shareholder, former President Donald Trump, has seen shares trade as high as nearly $80 after it began trading as a public company two weeks ago.
As of 2:36 pm ET on Monday, its stock price was $36.24 per share, down $10.72 on the day.
Trump Media’s market capitalization at the time was $4.9 billion, about $3.5 billion lower than the market capitalization at the peak of trading after becoming a public company.
Trump personally holds 78.75 million shares of the company, worth approximately $2.85 billion. If DJT shares reach certain stock price benchmarks within the next three years, Trump will receive an additional 36 million DJT shares.
