Storms and heavy rains caused flooding in some Gulf countries, causing Closed on Tuesday Dubai Airport – one of the busiest airports in the world.
The United Arab Emirates, known for its hot and sunny weather, reported more than 100 millimeters of rain in 24 hours, the most in the 75 years since the country began recording rainfall.
The local government also issued a red alert and closed offices, schools and banks. The storm hit other parts of the Middle East, with flooding killing at least 19 people in Oman. According to local media reports.
