Yuan announced on Thursday that its free artificial intelligence assistant Meta AI is launching on its social media platforms WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger.

“We believe Meta AI is the smartest AI assistant you have at your disposal right now,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in the video.

Meta AI is built into the search box in WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger apps, so users can easily ask questions that can be answered with the new tool.
For example, the company says users can ask Meta AI for restaurant recommendations, help planning a vacation, or inspiration for decorating a new apartment.
Meta AI is also available on the “meta.ai” website, where users can ask an assistant for help with tasks such as solving math problems or writing professional emails, according to the press release. Users can record their conversations for future reference.
Meta said the assistant’s image generation feature will be available in beta on WhatsApp and the MetaAI website. Users will see the image appear as they begin typing, and MetaAI will provide tips to help change or optimize the image. These images can also be animated into GIFs that users can share.
Meta first launched a beta version of Meta AI at its Connect event in September. Starting Thursday, the assistant will be available in English in more than a dozen countries, including the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
