Check out the companies making headlines in pre-market trading. La-Z-Boy — Shares of La-Z-Boy jumped more than 9% after its latest quarterly results beat expectations. The furniture company reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of 95 cents per share on revenue of $554 million. Analysts polled by London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) expected earnings of 70 cents per share on revenue of $516 million. Semiconductor-Chip stocks were higher on Tuesday, adding to their outperformance in recent days. Broadcom shares surged more than 3%, while Qualcomm and Micron Technology each gained more than 2%. Nvidia shares rose less than 1% after Wells Fargo raised its price target on the de facto market leader. NextEra Energy – Shares of NextEra Energy fell nearly 5% after the utility said it planned to sell about $2 billion worth of equity units at $50 a share. The units will consist of 5% undivided ownership of NextEra Energy Capital Holdings and a contract to purchase NextEra stock through June 1, 2027. Kroger shares rose 1.7% after the market opened. The company believes the recent pullback creates an attractive entry point for the grocery chain. Lennar — Shares of the homebuilder fell 3.5% despite better-than-expected second-quarter results. Lennar reported earnings of $3.45 per share on revenue of $8.77 billion. Analysts polled by London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) expected earnings of $3.24 per share on revenue of $8.52 billion.
