Las Vegas—— honda cars On Tuesday at the CES technology conference, the company revealed its latest electric vehicle, which will be built at a multibillion-dollar manufacturing site in central Ohio.
The vehicles are the Honda 0 Saloon (an updated version of the concept unveiled at CES last year) and the Honda 0 SUV. Both “0 Series” vehicles are prototypes, which means they are intended for customer production, but some changes may still occur in the future.
Honda said production models based on the two prototypes are expected to launch in North America in 2026, first as an SUV and then as a sedan. The automaker declined to reveal specific details about the new electric vehicle, such as expected pricing, range and performance.

The vehicles look significantly different from Honda’s current models, with sleek, futuristic designs. Honda said that the development of the new 0 series cars follows three core principles: “thin, light, and smart.”
Lance Woelfer, vice president of automotive sales at American Honda Motor Co., said the automaker listened to feedback on new models released last year.
“That’s why we’re doing this, because it gives us an opportunity to get some input and feedback from the community,” he told CNBC. “That gives us extra confidence.”

Honda also announced on Tuesday the launch of a new vehicle operating system called “Asimo OS” for Honda 0 series vehicles. The company said the operating system will provide highly automated driving technologies such as hands-free driving.
The name Asimo refers to the Honda car Humanoid robots for automakers First launched at CES over 20 years ago.
Honda plans to install Asimo OS on all Honda 0 series models, including the production models of Honda 0 SUV and Honda 0 Saloon.

It’s unclear what will happen with the announced merger between Honda and the Japanese automaker Nissan Motors May affect any product plans of the company.
Honda’s 0-series electric car launched a day after the company unveiled Cooperation with SonyA company called Afeela has launched its first electric model. The car, called AFEELA 1, is expected to be launched in California this year and delivered in 2026.
California is the largest U.S. market for electric vehicles, and automakers typically launch such models first to help sell and meet the state’s strict fuel economy and emissions standards.
The company says the AFEELA 1 sedan will be available in two trims, with prices starting at $89,900.
