The Boeing plane used by former President Donald Trump landed and taxied safely before its wing struck a parked plane at a Florida airport early Sunday morning. Federal Aviation Administration said Tuesday.
It’s unclear whether Trump ever held Campaign rally in Wildwood, New JerseyOn Saturday, the winglet of his Boeing 757 struck the rear elevator of a VistaJet parked in West Palm Beach.
No injuries were reported in the collision.
The FAA’s notification of the incident, which occurred at 1:19 a.m. ET on Sunday, gave the tail number of Trump’s plane: N757AF.
“A privately owned Boeing 757 landed safely at West Palm Beach International Airport at approximately 1:20 a.m. local time on Sunday, May 12,” the FAA said in a statement.
“While taxiing, its winglets came into contact with a parked and unoccupied business jet,” the FAA said. “The incident occurred in an area of the airport where the FAA does not control the aircraft. The FAA is investigating.”
Winglets are short wings that protrude upward from the wings of an aircraft. They are used to reduce aerodynamic drag.
CNBC has asked a spokesperson for Trump’s presidential campaign to comment on the incident.
Trump owns a residence at the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach.
Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, is on trial in a New York state court on criminal hush-money charges. He has pleaded not guilty in the case and is accused of falsifying business records.

In late 2016, Cohen paid porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in exchange for her silence about an alleged sexual tryst with Trump a decade ago. Cohen testified that he did so at Trump’s direction in an effort to prevent Daniels from going public with her story and thereby damaging Trump’s presidential campaign that year.
Trump has both denied having a sexual relationship with Daniels and denied participating in any bribery. He claimed the case was politically motivated and aimed at harming his electoral chances.
