Tim Cook tweets ahead of event
As usual, the Apple CEO posted a tweet on X ahead of the event. “Apple Park sparkles! #AppleEvent,” read an accompanying image of a rainbow structure on the company campus. The slogan for the event is “It’s Glowtime,” which seems to hint at changes to Siri with Apple Intelligence, which will now glow around the borders of the iPhone screen instead of displaying the standard Siri bubble at the bottom of the display.

Apple needs to convince people to upgrade to the latest iPhone and prove to Wall Street that the iPhone upgrade cycle is underway. One way it’s trying it is by partnering with Apple Intelligence, a service the company announced in June. Customers can use artificial intelligence to generate emojis, emails, notes and more. Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the two most noteworthy things on Monday are iPhone pricing and the availability of Apple Intelligence. The iPhone Pro has always started at $999 in the U.S. since 2017, but the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max is $100 more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max — and has at least twice the storage capacity. Apple Intelligence is currently in preview beta, with some of its best improvements, such as a smarter Siri, expected to launch later this year or next year.

I noticed this “Free Speech Zone” sign on the way in. For example, in June, CSAM demonstrators Appeared at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference. In addition, protesters hunger strike Speak out against changes to restrict Apple AirDrop in China outside the Apple Park Visitor Center in December 2022.

We had just arrived at Apple’s Cupertino campus and were walking to the Steve Jobs Theater. Apple typically releases new iPhones on campus, in contrast to events such as the Worldwide Developers Conference, which are held outdoors. It’s a cloudy day.
Update: The weather is no longer cloudy. This is California weather for you.
