Inside a $52,000-a-night hotel suite in Paris

The Hôtel de Crillon in Paris has a total of 78 rooms, but only two “Les Grand Appartements”“.

These apartments can be combined with adjacent rooms to form a three-bedroom mega-suite, covering 335 square meters (3,606 square feet), on the fourth floor of the hotel.

Vincent Billiard, the hotel’s managing director, told CNBC that the interiors, designed by famous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, pay attention to the smallest details.

“He was personally involved, personally present, choosing virtually every detail of the property, from the carpets, the walls, the paintings, the colors, the furniture… to make it one of the finest and most beautiful suites in the world,” he explain.

Both apartments feature luxurious furnishings, from original sinks from the Palace of Versailles to 4,000-pound Carrara marble bathtubs. There’s even a “secret room,” Villard said, hidden behind a bookcase that, at the push of a button, opens to reveal a gorgeous dressing room.

“It’s very tastefully designed,” Pool said. “Very chic. Very Parisian.”
