According to AirlineRatings.com, Qatar Airways has been named “Airline of the Year” in 2024.
The Doha-based airline returned to the top spot after falling to second place in 2023 (behind Air New Zealand).
The checklist combines major safety and government audits with 12 key criteria, ranging from product ratings and passenger reviews to safety, fleet age and incident reporting, according to the website.
This year’s list is once again dominated by Middle Eastern and Asia-Pacific airlines, although Europe’s Air France/KLM enters the rankings in sixth place.
